Good Morning Monday
Okay, so maybe not such a great morning. When the cable guys were super late last week, they called me finally. They got here and ended up having to reschedule because it was too hot to go in the attic. The rescheduled for 8 AM this morning. It is 8:40...no word from said cable guys. I did not sleep well last night and I am tired and feeling bad. Pretty cranky I suppose. Why can't they just be here when they say they will be?

Sweet Caroline
I have been working on my flower bed today. I planted 4 hydrangias Tuesday, and 20 "Sweet Carolines" today. I have some other little flowers to plant...some being 4 pallets. I have the kids helping, but just not enough gumption to get it done today. I did transplant 4 jalepeno plants that we bought for each of the kids (they were on sale for $0.50 each, so made good "project" plants).
I also bought myself a mature tomato plant today. Let's see if I can keep these plants alive. I am so excited.
Having roast tacos tonight. The way tacos were meant to be made. The best way ever to make them.

Homeschooling Momma, not what you think
Easy right? WRONG! I am no math genius, though I used to be considered somewhat of one (way back in high-school, when I was dumb enough not to treasure education). I have lost those abilities. So, I am "homeschooling" myself in order to get ready for that class. I know that while homeschooling, I got Life of Fred books for my daughter and those books turned her from a math challenged math hater into a person who enjoys math and is in an accelerated math class. It worked for her, so why not me? I ordered Mr. Schmidt's book "Life of Fred: Beginning Algebra" and the "Home Companion" to go with it. I started working in it immediately, and let me just say it is so much fun!!! Yes, I just said "Math is fun" (well, sort of). Things are explained in a way that is pleasurable, understandable, and most importantly, retainable. My goal is at least 2 lessons a day, in order to finish by the start of the other course. I have taken a gander at the text I will be using, and frankly it already perplexes me and bores me. I so wish I had time to do the next book in the series, Life of Fred: Advanced Algebra before then. I do believe I will get them and work through them and hopefully stay ahead of the class so that I won't be boggled by the concepts that will be coming at me. Maybe if I accelerate my learning in this book, I can get to the next one and be way into it before classes start. Just maybe.
If you are interested in learning more about the Life of Fred series, visit the site here. I also want to brag on Mr. Schmidt as he promptly answered an email I sent him asking for advice on which book to purchase. Also, the shipping was lightning quick, getting here from California in 2 business days.
I am also doing Rosetta Stone (along with my children) in order to learn Spanish.
My husband says I have way too much ambition, but I think he's crazy. I guess I'll just have to show him.

Life is Good
Yesterday I didn't get a lot accomplished in the house, but I did get a lot accomplished.
Today we are getting our cable turned back on after 3 months of being without. At least I think we are. We are set up to get it on between 21 and 2, here it is 1:30 and no sign of them yet. I hate that about cable companies. Be here when you say!!!

I am BACK!!!
Finally I am at a point where I can devote more time to my blog. We are moved into a new house with good internet. When we moved in I had a flare of my MS, but it is better now. Last week, I was stricken down with intense pain in my abdomen. I went to the doctor, who sent me to the ER. They did CT scans and bloodwork, and we discovered I have diverticulitis. I am now on medication for that and feeling better FINALLY.
I am forming a challenge for myself, and expect to be held accountable here in cyber-space. The challenge is this: unpack 2 boxes daily, and clean one area daily. I am going to get back on the Fly Lady wagon, which I fell hard off of.
So, off I go to get my unpacking done and cleaning.
